Tuition & Payment Schedule

Private Lessons - Billing & PaymentTo keep our music studio running smoothly and ensure consistent scheduling for all students, we ask that you review and follow our payment policies below. How billing works: Private lessons are billed at the end of each month. An invoice will be sent on the 1st of each month for all lessons that took place during the previous month.Example: Your invoice sent on February 1st covers all lessons that occurred in January.Payment due date: Payment is due by the 7th of each month. What is included on your invoice:Each invoice includes all lessons that qualify for full payment during that month:- Completed lessons. Any lesson that took place as scheduled.
- Late cancellations. Any lesson canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
- No-shows. Any scheduled lesson the student does not attend and does not cancel.
Why Late Cancellations And No-shows Are BilledYour lesson time is reserved exclusively for your child each week. When a lesson is missed or canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, that time cannot be offered to another student. Full payment for that slot applies in these cases.Private Lessons - Late Fees & Past Due AccountsPayments received after the 7th of the month are subject to the following late fees:7th of the Month: Payments received after the 7th will incur a $10 late fee.
12th of the Month: Payments received after the 12th will incur an additional $10 late fee ($20 total late fee).
Schedule Forfeiture: If payment is not received by the 12th, your student's recurring lesson time slot may be released to other students.
Termination: Repeated late payments may result in the permanent cancellation of your student’s enrollment.
If payment has not been received by the 12th, your child's reserved lesson time is no longer guaranteed and may be reassigned. Brenton will make reasonable effort to communicate before this step is taken.Group Lessons - Billing & PaymentHow billing works: Group lessons are billed in advance at the beginning of each month. An invoice will be sent on the 20th of each month for the upcoming month's lessons.
Example: Your invoice sent on January 20th covers all group lessons taking place in February.
Payment due date: Payment is due by the 28th of each month - prior to the month of lessons beginning.Example: Payment for February group lessons is due by January 28th.First payment: Payment for your child's first month of group lessons is due before their first session. A sign-in link for the group will be provided upon receipt of payment.Ongoing access: The group sign-in link for each month is provided upon receipt of that month's payment. If payment is not received by the 28th, the sign-in link for the following month will not be issued until the balance is paid in full. There are no late fees for group lessons - however, access to sessions is contingent on payment being received before the month begins.Accepted Payment MethodsTo keep your tuition costs as low as possible and ensure 100% of your investment goes directly toward your child’s music education, we exclusively accept fee-free payment methods. This ensures neither you nor the music studio is charged extra processing or credit card fees.We accept the following two convenient, secure methods:> Zelle (Fastest & Simplest)Zelle is available through most major bank apps at no cost. If your bank supports Zelle, you can send payment directly from your existing banking app in under a minute.(Not sure if your bank supports Zelle? Visit zelle.com for a full list of participating banks. Most major US banks and credit unions are included).> Bank Bill Pay (Best for Automation)Bank Bill Pay is a free service offered by virtually every bank and credit union. It works the same way you would pay a utility bill online. Your bank will safely mail a physical check directly to the music studio at no cost to you.Questions About Payment?
If you have any questions about how to set up either payment method, or are unsure which option is right for you, please reach out at [email protected] - happy to help walk you through it.
Please note: Credit cards, Venmo and PayPal are not accepted at this time.

Cancellation Policy & Makeup Lessons

We understand that schedules change and unexpected events happen. To ensure fairness to our instructors and protect your reserved time slot, please review our policies regarding missed lessons and program cancellations.Makeup Lessons - Private LessonsIf your child needs to miss a scheduled lesson, please notify Brenton as early as possible.Makeup lesson availability: Makeup lessons are offered on a case-by-case basis, depending on schedule availability that week. If a makeup time is available, Brenton will do his best to accommodate it. If no makeup slot is available, regularly scheduled lessons simply resume the following week. Please note: Makeup lessons are a courtesy, not a guarantee. Availability depends entirely on the schedule that week and cannot always be accommodated.Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice, and no-show lessons, are billed at the full lesson rate and are not eligible for a makeup. (See Payment Policy for full details).A Note On Makeup Lessons:
Makeup lessons are offered in good faith whenever possible. Because your child's weekly time slot is reserved exclusively for them, Brenton's ability to offer additional slots depends entirely on availability that week. We appreciate your understanding.
Cancelling Or Stopping Private LessonsThere are no long-term contracts, and you are free to stop your private lessons at any time by following our notice policy. Private lessons reserve a dedicated weekly time slot on Brenton’s schedule. Because of this:We kindly ask for at least 15 days’ advance notice if you wish to stop private lessons. How to Cancel: Notice must be sent via email to: [email protected]Final Invoice: Any lessons scheduled within that 15-day notice window are billable, regardless of whether the student attends them.Cancelling Or Stopping Group LessonsGroup lessons run on a flexible, month-to-month basis with zero long-term commitment.Cancel Anytime: You can choose not to renew your enrollment for the upcoming month at any time. How to Cancel: Please email your cancellation request to [email protected] before your next invoice due date (the 28th of the month).Automatic Pause: If you choose not to submit payment for the upcoming month, your enrollment will automatically pause, and the virtual class sign-in link will not be issued. No Mid-Month Refunds: Once a month's group tuition is paid, it is non-refundable, and your student retains access to all group sessions for the remainder of that paid month. What happens if I cancel in the middle of my subscription period?Good news! The time you’ve already paid for is yours to keep - that means you can continue attending lessons up until the last day of your billing cycle. For example: If you started a monthly subscription on January 1st, you would have all of January to continue attending, even if you canceled on January 15th.Cancel anytime. No refunds. What if I can’t make it to a group lesson? Not to worry! We record our live lessons daily so your child can still watch and learn from class at their convenience. We save lesson recordings to watch on-demand after each lesson.Students also receive full access to the ever-growing pre-recorded Lesson Library to watch on-demand!Lesson Schedules & Holidays? We are a real school with real teachers. We follow select American holidays. The lesson & holiday schedule for each month is sent to parents monthly.Tuition / fees are not prorated during holiday closures (they go towards your teachers' holiday time off - just like in a real school). We do provide activities for your child to do during holidays.

Photo & Video Release

From time to time, Brenton uses photos and short videos of his students on the studio website, or in social media posts. These videos and posts are encouraging to other students and helpful to other teachers. If you do not want your child's image(s) to be used, please let Brenton know. In general, the students love to see their pictures and videos on Brenton’s website. They find it motivating and exciting to think that others want to know what they are learning. The students are identified only by first name.

Ann Taught Me From 6th - 12th Grade

"I took lessons on flute and piccolo with Ann from the 6th grade through my senior year in High School. She mentored me through 2 instruments, leadership positions, and always challenged me to be a better musician. I definitely wouldn’t have accomplished as much as I did in my schools program without her continuous support and guidance!"

Ann Gave My Daughter Confidence

"My daughter was fortunate to have Ann as her teacher for many years! Ann is very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining things to her students. She was very patient and encouraging. Ann didn't just teach her about the playing the flute, but gave her the confidence she needed to be successful. I can't recommend her highly enough!"

Ann Helped Me Become Section Leader

"Ann is a great teacher! When I was in HS I wanted to play in the marching band, and she was able to get me playing flute at a high school level in half a year. She was also very helpful once I was in the band helping me get even better at the Flute. I was even able to become a section leader my senior year due to her teaching. She was always very kind and patient with me while I was learning. The skills she taught led me to playing in my college’s marching band, and I’m still playing flute in a local community band even after graduating."

Ann Truly Supported My Kids

"Ann did flute lessons with both my kids. They loved her and it really helped them in band, and she showed up in person when they did competitions. It meant the world to them :)"

My Daughter Loved Ann’s Lessons

"Our family enjoyed Ann's flute lessons. She was relaxed and patient with my daughter and my daughter has fond memories of her lessons. Ann is great with students of all levels!"

Lessons Were Fun and Encouraging

"Ann is incredibly talented, patient, and kind. She always kept flute lessons fun and engaging, and I learned so much under her guidance. I’m so grateful for the time I spent as her student."

Ann Is An Amazing Flute Teacher

"Ann is an amazing flute teacher who really knows her stuff. Whether you are a beginner or a proficient player, she will help you improve to whatever level you want to be at. I would most definitely take lessons from her again!"

Positive, Caring, Encouraging Teacher

"I enjoyed my experience taking lessons from Ann! She always had a positive attitude, and you can tell she cares deeply about her students."

Very Knowledgeable and Patient Teacher
